     While attending the annual Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, IN  American Lifan revealed plans for 4 new power sports vehicles to hit the states as soon as this year.  The vehicles will cover an even wider audience than ever before.  One model that has really caught the of the public eye is the new LF400 V-twin motorcycle.  This model will be available in the fall and ready to cruise on the highway with 400cc's of power.

i have seen a picturs of it in burgunday on web and a member of another forum i use has one in black his looks cracking and has certainly got some of our members looking up about them.
 the owner i know says it is stunning in looks and handling rates it highly and for the price represents great value

just one thing on the price the guy who owns one paid 2249 for it great price 2 weeks laters they put it up to 2495 now i dont know if first guy got lucky but that a big jump in such a short space

This page gives the specifications for LF250B and LF400 where the LF400 Maximum Power is 20kw/8500r/min it means 26.82 HP and the LF250B Max. Power is 18.5HP/8000RPM when the real power, I think, in the LF25B is 16.09. What is real.
Excuse my English.

Does anyone have any more pics or information on this cruiser?

I got a brand new Lifan LF 400 today (copy of the yamaha virago 400)
It looks great but I had to ride it home about 50 miles in freezing fog and -4c temp all the way. Its now dirty so Im going to clean it up before taking any pictures tomorow.

Its a very nice ride. Smooth, I think due to being a shaft drive. The throttle is a bit sticky, and I need to adjust a few things to make it mine. I cant seem to find the fuel tap, but I do know its got 1.

Only done 1 journy on it, but up to now it gets a thumbs up from me.

Im not at all happy
I got my new Lifan 400 from the internet bike shop. Well one of there dealers. yesterday. New
I got it back at dusk yesterday and put it straight into the shed.

Looked at it for the first time properly today.
It wouldnt start because of a flat battery. So i went to put the battery on charge to find a dry cell in the battery, also it looks to be years old. No way was the battery as new as the bike. Also I have discovered that the rear left indicator stalk is glued on, it looks as if its been broken off at some point. Also the real break light switch is operatd by a leingth of chicken wire, not the small spring that is usulay used.

Still no pictures as Ive spent all day just trying to get it to work. Not had chanve to clean it either.

Do you mind if I ask where you are, I'm really interested in getting an LF 400, but before I commit to getting 1 I really like to see 1 in the flesh.

I live in the West Midlands, and if you'e not too far away I'd like to be able to see the bike.

I don't seem to have a dealer in my area, and I'm not getting much joy from the internet bike shop providng me with somewhere, or someone I can go nad see the bike.

If not, is there anybody else in the West Mids with 1 of these I could have a look at? i apologise if this is all a bit cheeky.

P.S. How is the bike, reliability wise and so on?, I've see your you tube video.

Hi All

Well, what can I say, I looked, I sat, I bought !!

What a lovely bike, what can I say.

it had 214 KM on the clock, so certainly not run in yet. As a result, the idle needed some tweaking, maybe because it's new, or maybe because of the previous owner, or a bit of both !!.

Anyhow, I decided I should take it gently, so started the intended A road run from Wigan to Wolverhampton.

The bike sounds, and handles delightfully, and even though it's not run in, the ease with which it reached 60-70mph, persuaded me to try some of the motorway, again, the bike handled  the motorway perfectly.

I have to say, I'm impressed, and it makes for the perfect 2nd bike to my VTX1300, I'm really looking forward to how it'll perform once it's been properly run in.

Hi All

Just thought I'd post an update. Had the bike now just about a month, still only added another 600km, but I'm more than happy with bike so far. The problems with the idling speed, were quick and easy to sort out, now no more problems at all, always starts first time, what else is the ere to say, what a quality bike !!

If you're thinking of getting 1, don't just think, do !!

Great Motorcycle,, had it since new, 14mths ago,,never had any probs, smooth, handles well, and quiet.

Even the missus like posing on it.

I`ve had bikes since the 60s, triumph, yamaha. honda, the lot, but this is better than all.
