I have an LF250 cruiser. I am not interested in hole shots. I want top end and gas mileage. I read about a guy who replaced his rear sprocket with a 38 tooth sprocket. Does anyone know where to get one? :-\

Yamaha parts work on Lifans. The Virag/V-Star parts are mostly inerchangable with Lifan parts.

Any luck with getting another rear sprocket? I'm assuming that the 38 teeth is less than the standard sprocket and hence raising the gearing? I'd be interested to see if the bike can take the higher gearing as I'd consider doing the same - I tend to do a lot of cruising. Thanks, Pat

Around here we consider normal cruising somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50 mph.  The stock sprocket will let me go 70 mph but I think these little bikes are just a bit light for that rate of speed.  I did it once and that was all I needed.  My MPG consistantly runs around 70 so I am quite happy.
