It seems I have found the problem and the solution. I noticed that the speedo cable isn't long enough. When you attept to turn the bike completely to the left, the left fork pushes on the cable and wants to stretch it. I took the cable off and found out that it was broken inside because of poor design and routing. I soldered the cable back together and took it off that little ring that holds it to the bike. It's free floating but it has more slack now that the left fork doesn't snag it. How's that for fix it yourself?
