It's my first Lifan and Chopper, however I had others motorcycles and I ride maybe 350 000kms in Portugal and Spain.
I am going try help somebody and learn more about Lifan LF400 is the same motorcycle.
Atention my English isn't good enough, and I am not mecanic.

Engine Kits / Lifan clutch issue

It's only done 1200 kms and has had new plug, lead and carb clean.
I have read that because it's Chinese it's factory set to 50mph due to Chinese law.
There must be a way to get it to keep up with other scooters ?

« Last post by BaileySims on May 20, 2017, 12:51:10 PM »Turns out that the piston I had first installed was indeed .5mm too small. I was able to get it to run correctly with the obvious correct sized piston. Now begins the fun part of building something to put this bad boy in.

« Last post by BaileySims on May 13, 2017, 12:05:33 PM »After a brief run through of previous parts i have purchased and compared to that of the stock motor, I have since discovered that the piston I installed is actually a 63mm rather than the 63.5mm piston that comes standard on the motor. Seems like the obvious smoking problem. I have purchased a 63.5mm piston and will install that and report back with any other issues if the same problem persists.

I bought this lifan 200cc 163fml motor awhile back and have since been piecing it together to get it to run so i can build something to put it in. Since owning the motor, I have replaced the piston and rings, replaced the valves, valve seals, valve seats, valve springs and valve keepers. All the gaskets have been changes as well. I collected the electric parts to get it to run and wired it up correctly to do so. Here's the problem. Every time I start it, the first second, huge amounts of smoke start to come out of the exhaust. Oil is somehow finding its way into the combustion chamber and I cannot find out where or why. Have any of you ever had this problem and don't mind pointing me in the right direction? Thank you all.

LF125 / Lifan 125 9J Apollo, can't find a front Fender or break Pedal.

I've been sending messages to every sale of a fender that looks like it would remotely looks like it would fit but all has been a dead end.
Would anyone happen to have a front fender compatible with the 9J?
I also need a foot brake pedal, but all the ones I see on eBay look different to what I need, mine looks like it curves out more.
Any help there?
