LF400 / First Lifan LF400's to John O'Groats ?
« on: August 29, 2009, 08:06:27 AM »
Hi All
Well for those who have been following what's been going on with the LF 400. Here's the latest and greatest adventure, that myself and stepson went on this week.
Monday 24th
Wolverhampton to Edinburgh, M6 upto Carlisle, then across to Edinburgh.
Tuesday 25th
Edinburgh -> Aviemore -> John O'Groats -> Inverness (Long day !!)
Wednesday 26th
Inverness -> Fort Willimam -> Glasgow -> Abington, ropey weather, driving over the mountains, in the clouds themselves.
Thursday 27th
Glasgow -> Keswick -> Ambleside -> Windermere -> Whitchurch -> Wolverhampton.
Total distance 1950km
Avergage fuel burn, for both bikes, about 5p per Km
Number of problems with either bike 0
All in all, an very enjoyable long run, that for any 400cc bike would be a push, especially laden with luggage as well !!, and the LF400 held up flawlessley, and without a single hitch.
So, for those of you still thinking about it, I strongly recommend getting 1, it appears there are problems with the internetbikeshop, but zing bikes stock it, and I did find a few other places stocking the LF400, such as Dragon Bikes. there is also the possibility that the Jinlun dealerships may well start stocking the Lifan range as well.
Cheers
Tony
