Title: OIL FILTER

I bought a new Lifan 250 Cruiser in August and did my first oil change yesterday.  I ask the dealer I bought it from about the oil filter and he said there was not an oil filter on the 250 Cruiser.  Does anyone know for sure if that is correct.  I have a friend who has the Yamaha Virago version and his cycle does have a filter.  Thanks for any info.

I e-mailed the Lifan distributor in Dallas about the oil filter and they answered right away that the 250 Cruiser has as oil screen not a cartridge type filter.  They said the screen should be taken out at each oil change and cleaned.
