It sounds like its the same as the 125 gauze filter, undo the 24 mm nut, draw out the gauze and wash in petrol check for bits and swarf, let it dry and replace, easy peasy,
reference to get a real bike i presume he means a good ole british machine, why come on this forum to take the piss!!!
when people are asking for help we are all on to wheels
 hope the info helps

Chit Chat / lf125gy-3 no spark
« on: October 01, 2009, 10:52:45 AM »
Well after lots of head scatching,my will crumbled and i phoned a sparky,
And it turned out to be the ignition pick up in the flywheel case going straight to earth,SO ordered new stator and pick up
and when that arrives hopefully she will fire up and roar into life ,but being a mechanical beast it will be until next time .
so if you have no spark and all other electrics you can always check the pick up.

                      hope this may help

Hi everyone

just got back in the saddle as it were, after 20 years?bought a lf125gy-3,
What a great little bike, had it about a month now and have put about 1500 miles on it ,with a few lanes as well,
doesn,t miss a beat seems to handle okay,
have noticed a lot of people mentioning slack chain syndrome,as i did ,so i removed it cleaned all the thick grease off of it soaked it in oil and spirit wiped that off and chain lubed it and after 500 miles is still at the same tention,Happy daze,
Oh and have only had one nut rattle off.
I am in the fareham area so anyone out there drop us a line and we can take the rise out of the jap riders??
