so i went out and bought a lifan lf250st5 and brought it to a bike shop and apparently the cdi for this bike is impossible to find because its 2 different boxes one 6 pin and one nine pin  can someone please help me?

OK  the 6-pin (2 plugs) unit is the CDI.
The other box, 8 pin (9 pin socket) is known or at least sold as a "rev. limiter"
I'm not sure if the abbreviation means "reverse" or "revolution"
This box is some sorta necessary evil and is known to be very tempermental, no differant from the cdi unit as well.
I have depleated all but 3 wires going to this rev. limiter: green, black, black w/white.
