Have you been running ethenol laced gasoline? I have heard that is not good for any bike.

LF250 / 3000 carefree (almost) Km

I just logged 3200 Km on my Eagle 250 (Lifan LF250). I changed the oil at 2900. I have added blue LED's primarily to be seen at night but it does get a lot of positive feedback from onlookers as well. I added a 135 DB horn after many cellphone user close calls. I replaced the 45 tooth rear sprocket with a 38 tooth RS. I bought the sprocket from Cycle Gear as a Virago compatable. It works great... boosting both my top end and my gas milage. The bike works well with this sprocket being somewhat tamer on launch which is a plus for me. I love my Lifan.
Minor issues. I had to replace the turn signal relay with a generic relay. The triple tree lock cylinder shredded. One of the saddle bag (after market) locks shredded. The fuel petcock has started leaking a bit when turning gas on or off (doesn't leak when in either on or off, just during transition).
All in all, it has been a very enjoyable relationship... on par with any of the Japanese bikes I have been familiar with.

I am looking for a 38 toothed rear sprocket to replace the stock 45 on my LF25 cruiser. CAn anyone help?

I have an LF250 cruiser. I am not interested in hole shots. I want top end and gas mileage. I read about a guy who replaced his rear sprocket with a 38 tooth sprocket. Does anyone know where to get one?

« on: March 12, 2009, 10:18:04 AM »I use a heavy duty automobile signal relay switch, (the round/spherical kind). It should have two prongs to plug in and you can buy them at any auto parts store. The winkers will blink a little faster than when using the Chinese signal relay switch(the Chinese relays are too slow anyway). The auto relay switches normally cost around 3$ and will last years instead of months. But this only seems to work on the LF250 models. The relay switch is on the RH side of the cycle. Let us know if this works for you?
Thanks, I got a universal turn signal that was round like you suggested and now have over 1500 miles with no more problems.

« on: January 01, 2009, 08:57:26 AM »My starter was acting up at times - trouble or delay in turning engine over. It finally wouldn't work. I push the starter switch, the lights dimmed some, biut no noise at all - dead starter. Replaced my original 4 year old battery but didn't help, got a new starter but it didn't help either.Have you had problems with turn signals? That has been a problem with my 250. If it shorts out it can draw current all the time. If that's the problem disconnecting it will remove the current draw and allow you to start the bike.
The lights dimming when I press the starter switch means something is drawing power, right?
Could it be a relay, and where is it located on the Lifan C25 cruiser?
It's under the decorative cover on the Right below the seat. I have tried to find a replacement for the original with no luck so have opted for a universal replacement.

LF250 / turn signal relay

I have put about 500 miles on my 250 Cruiser. I love it. I have only one complaint. The Turn signal relay is not reliable. I have tried numerous places to get one. I even looked to Diamo, Roketa, etc. but with no success. Does anyone know where to get one?
