Chit Chat / Re: Vibration issue after 1000 km

Zapkin, I replied to you on the american lifan site...

But I also wanted to reply here...

I believe that the reported transmission issues you mentioned from china riders were actually with the non counter balanced engine, as far as I remember.

And I thought I could mention a few things on my gy5 that vibrated or rattled... (it was unbalanced though, and is now sold)...

The muffler insides broke apart and that made a heck of a rattling noise
The battery box cracked
The motor mount bolt broke

All of these were repaired, and this was the non balanced motor. The only one that caused significant vibration though was the motor mount, but as far as I know, they've been redesigned for the balanced engine, and I haven't heard of them actually being an issue.

I'd buy from Hooper or A.L. if it was me, but I haven't actually bought from any of the American dealers (I am in Canada), but have had a little experience with some, and read about quite a few...

I like that one more then the III or the B even, nice paint scheme and fairings :) The main thing I don't like the look of on the lifan sport bikes is the exhaust (the pipe, not the muffler), and the rear end...

It depends on who you order from, there are a few sport bikes, mainly the 200 III and the 200B, if you get it from American Lifan, you will get the bike you ordered I believe, if you order it from one of the other online dealers, it could come the same, or it could be different, I think sometimes it is hit or miss... There are so many online dealers, tms, galata (which is also rabbit, and I believe somehow associated with tms), and hooper imports are the biggest ones I know of (grey market that is, A.L. I would think would be the largest one)... Check lifan-moto.com and ask some of there members for more specific info on which dealers deliver as advertised, and check out chinariders.net, there are some dealers that send out different colored bikes, some even send different bikes!

BC Canada :)

It did alright in the snow, and it didn't hurt when I fell off :P, I tried again this year, but the snow was a lot wetter and a bit deeper, and my chain was not adjusted and ended up coming off..

Yeah :), it isn't quite gone, I have to secure a spare first, then I will smoke it the rest of the way off, it must be a much better tire then the kingstone on my gy5, that one hardly wears at all, the CST I think is a better stock tire.
