Title: Hello and Q's
Post by: MerzMan on December 03, 2014, 06:32:57 PM
Hi Lifan forum, doesn't seem like there is too much action here. I just purchased a 1969 Honda CL70 that has a half way completed lifan 140cc swap. The engine is a 1P55FMJ and is 140ccm with oil cooler and 1 down 3 up transmission. I am wondering if anyone here has any info about this engine? I have setup the ignition side pretty easily, just two wires. But this engine has a few extra wires coming out that seem to be for a starter motor but I don't know for sure and can't for the life of me find a wiring diagram for anything other than the stator. The wires come out of the engine above and to the rear of the stator wires, about two inches up and to the right of the flywheel. I don't want to just start powering up and burn out the neutral switch or anything. My other question is where to get the proper footpegs for this setup, the stock CL70 pegs have the same bolt pattern but aren't even close to wide enough for this beast 140cc engine. If this forum is active I will post pictures once I get everything setup or at least picture worthy. Cheers!!!

If you are still having problems let me know. I have some experience, 140cc swap to 64 Honda cs90, 140cc x2 early 70s Honda trail 50s, 68 Honda ct 70 swap to 90cc. All Lifan motors were swapped in.
