Title: Bike just dies.....help
Post by: splinter UK on April 06, 2011, 10:05:47 AM
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any ideas why my LF250-B should just die? I can be riding along and suddenly the whole thing just dies on me. When i stop and hit the starter it fires first time and is usually ok after that, but today it died, started ,and then died again. It did restart and was fine after but I can't understand why. I would be very greatful for any advise anyone could offer. Thank You :)

I haven't heard of an issue like this, except the issue of the fuel lines being installed incorrectly from the factory from the petcock to the fuel pump to the carburetor. I first would check the lines for dry rot cracking and replace all of them if necessary.

I had a problem similar to that, my bike was restarting while driving and sometimes was dying too.It turn out to be the ignition switch, when you unscrew the switch from the frame there are two more screws that holds the switch,on my bike they were to short and the switch was loose, after replacement everything was fine.
